Monday 18: Sue has the brain tumour removed at last.
Thursday 11: Paul and Roger take Philip and Ian to Explore At-Bristol. This is partly to give the boys a treat, and partly to give Sue a quiet afternoon. Ian was reluctant to go, but impossible to drag away. There were some interesting small robots, and the boys spent ages on the virtual volleyball as usual.
Saturday 3: Day with Sue's university friends, hosted by Paul & Sue Cockburn. As always, a most enjoyable time.
Family trip to Narnia. A much better film than we had feared.
Saturday 24: Being totally unreasonable parents, we give the boys a choice between midnight mass and the 10:30 service on Christmas Day. They chose midnight mass, so for the first time we all went to Woodlands for the 11:30 communion service.
Sunday 25 & Monday 26: Christmas Day and Boxing Day spent quietly at home. We played "Risk" as a family, which Ian won; and "Alias", which Paul, Sue and Philip won (somehow, Alan was teamed up with Ian, which he graciously accepted).
Tuesday 27 - Friday 30: Off to London, to stay with Paul's parents from the Tuesday to the Friday. We went bowling on the Wednesday, and to London on the Thursday to the Jewish Museum to see the Einstein exhibition. It wasn't large, but was worth the visit.
On the Friday, we sent Alan and Philip back on the Megabus, and returned to Bristol with Ian in the car via Guildford, stopping off to see David Race and the Pryde family.
