Psychotherapy

Introduction

I probably ought to start with some assurances.

I'm not against all forms of psychotherapy. I am not a psychotherapist, but when talking with people who have problems I often use aspects of CBT and Brief, and am very comfortable with those approaches, along with various others.

But when you talk about psychotherapy to most people, what they think you are talking about is a process of delving into your past to sort out the problems of the present, and that is what I want to be very cautious about.
