You can't do deals with God
by Paul Hazelden

Introduction

You can't do deals with God.

He is not some gangster boss you can talk into seeing things your way.

He is not a business man who needs the product you supply.

He is not a lonely, inadequate individual who needs your attention and love.

He doesn't need anything from you.

You can't do deals with God: you don't have anything to deal with. Everything you've got, he gave it to you in the first place.

He doesn't need anything from you, but He does want something from you. But he won't do any deals to get it.

He loves you. Just as you are. And He wants you to love Him in return. He wants you to love Him freely, which is why He will not do any deals.

He will not attempt to buy your love. He can't buy your love, as He has nothing to buy it with. He has already given you everything. All you can do is decide: will you accept the love He offers?

You can't do any deals. Your only choice is whether you freely choose to give Him your love and commitment.

It's up to you: do you want to live in a relationship of love and commitment with this God Who loves you so much, or do you want to turn your back on Him?

Your choice.
