I try to respond to each message within a week, unless we are
away. If you do not have a reply after a week, please send
a reminder - occasionally a piece of email goes astray, or I miss
it the first time round in all the spam.
I try to make a personal response to all reasonable messages.
However, I will not reply if it seems to me that your message is
in one of the following categories.
If you are trying to sell a product or service - Sue and I
don't buy from the door, and we don't respond to unsolicited
offers.
If it seems that your primary aim is to be offfensive.
If you simply say that you disagree with something, without
offering any reason why.
If you are asking for financial or other assistance - Sue
and I support the people and organisations we have a
relationship with, and we ignore any unsolicited requests.
In all other cases, I will try to send a personal response.
I may also use your message in some other way. For
example, I may quote it, either verbatim or in some edited form,
on this web site.
Please be assured that I never use other people's material
without some form of acknowledgement (often along the lines of
'someone recently sent me an email which said that...'), and
I will never identify the writer without first getting explicit
permission.
