The Secular Myth

Introduction

Most people in the UK seem to believe that they live in a secular society.

We do live in a society in which the connections with spiritual reality are less obvious - at least, in some areas. But this does not mean they are less important.

Looking Back

Of course, things are very different today from the way they have been through most of history. It is important to understand the nature of this change.

Every society in the past was religious to the roots. Almost every society had its own religion
